It says a tremendous amount about who I am that I am spending time today "consolidating my web presence," whatever that means. Basically, I'm going through everything I have online, figuring out what I want to keep and what I don't, and adjusting accordingly , i.e, focusing my web identity. The fact that I think this is a necessary step in the improvement of my digital life speaks volumes about my character.
This past week has been spectacular. Cynthia - the girlfriend, for those of you who have wandered in in the middle of the movie - came down from Midd to join me Thanksgiving. We've had a wonderful time and actually managed to make our own Thanksgiving dinner, which was something of an accomplishment. Turkey? Check. Mashed potatoes? Check. Cranberry? Check? Buttermilk biscuits? Check. Corn? Check. Delicious homemade cheesecake? Check. All in all - Molto bene! It occurs to me that this is my first real Thanksgiving. I've celebrated it my entire life, but this is the first time I've ever had to take responsibility and make it happen, and as such, I feel a bit of pride.
Pretty much the only downside recently has been that I haven't had a tremendous amount of time to write in recent weeks. Between work and the holidays, I've been preoccupied, although I'm slowly starting to settle into my routine, and have actually gotten a bit done on a couple of projects. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the pace.
I'm still trying to figure out what to do with this site, which is why it is now functioning more or less as a blog in the dirtiest sense of the word. Enhancements coming soon. Probably. Maybe.
I hope you all had a magnificent Thanksgiving, and I'll write again soon. Allons-y!
