Tiny Wings is one of the best games of the last five years - not one of the best iPhone games or best casual games, but best games, period. It's a simple 2D side-scroller that requires only one finger to play, but within each five minute play session, a gamer will experience a full range of emotions as he or she attempts to guide a small bird across a colorful landscape. Tiny Wings is consistently engaging and loses none of its effectiveness with repetition.
On Thursday, it's sequel will arrive, and I honestly don't know what to expect. Tiny Wings hasn't received a substantial update since its release, but it hasn't needed one. It's perfect the way it is. So what could a sequel bring to the table? I can't wait to find out.
